Lantzville Fire Rescue is a paid-on-call
fire department serving 3600 residents in the District of Lantzville. We
are now recruiting new members to help fulfill the many demands
of the department. Note: Must be 19 years of age or older. |
Fire Safety
|
Most fire related deaths occur at night
when everybody is asleep. The smell of smoke will not wake you up; in fact
it will only put you into a deeper sleep. A smoke alarm will wake you up
by sounding a loud alarm, giving you time to escape. That is why it is important
that you have at least one smoke alarm on every floor of your house, and
preferably one in each bedroom. |
Home safety Tips
|
Find tips to make your home and
family more safe in the event of fire. These tips are not intended to make
you a firefighter, only to give you the safest home possible.
In the event of fire, protect your family and call 911. |
